A police and crime commissioner from the central England region has called for an urgent reexamination of the decision to prohibit the Israeli team's fans from attending the upcoming game.
Simon Foster, who oversees the force, states that this appeal aims to determine whether the ban is suitable, necessary, warranted, reasonable, and a balanced step to achieve a lawful objective.
"This must include consideration of every and any appropriate, other choices," the official adds.
The commissioner has additionally requested to review the official ruling and recommendation from the advisory group, along with the law enforcement evaluation.
He underscores, however, that the ultimate ruling rests with the advisory group and the police.
